María Andrea Tinoco is a Colombian visual artist, who embarked on a transformative journey from her homeland to New York to pursue her artistic dreams. She culminated her high school education at Professional Children's School and entered the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. She graduated with a BFA in illustration, focusing on fine arts, and had the privilege of affiliating with esteemed institutions like The Art Students League and the Society of Illustrators of New York. Her works were exhibited in group shows at the Grammercy and Chelsea Gallery, and she was honored to showcase one of her drawings at the Metropolitan Museum of Art through the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.

Art has always brought her joy and energy; she wishes to share those feelings with her audience through her craft. Maria's approach to painting is personal and emotional. She uses the creation process to channel her deepest vulnerabilities onto the canvas.

María's artistic inspiration is not confined to painting alone. She is influenced by diverse mediums, including dance, writing, jewelry making, and speed painting, enriching her art with a unique blend of backgrounds.

She resides in Madrid, Spain, where she continues her artistic exploration and art making.
